Trusted
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Avalon established itself as a trusted, capable, and competent diagnostic laboratory by providing private molecular COVID-19 testing services to business, individuals, travellers, and Newfoundland & Labrador’s Regional Health Authorities. As part of the province’s pandemic response, Avalon supported the provincial economy by keeping businesses operating, workers safe, and communities healthy. Every major corporation in the province used Avalon’s services at some point. And when Nova Scotia, Ontario, British Columbia, and Newfoundland & Labrador needed more testing capacity, they turned to Avalon. In all, Avalon conducted more than 150,000 COVID-19 tests.
Protecting Corporate Information
Avalon’s Environmental Lab follows strict procedures for proper documentation of sample collection, receipt, and registration. This includes the use of multiple identifiers to ensure accurate sample identification and traceability. Once properly received, each sample’s traceability is maintained internally by our Laboratory Information System (LIS), which provides documentation of all aspects of the testing process. Results are verified and approved by our staff, and results are fully encrypted and securely delivered to clients via the LIS.
